Objective of the workshop : To acquaint B. Com., M.Com., BBA and MBA students with the stock market basics, provide them the knowledge about the market and how it operates.

The Faculty of Commerce and Management, IIS (deemed to be) University, Jaipur in association with Shine Projects has organized a ‘Webinar on Stock Markets’ on May 20, 2021 for the students of B.Com., M.Com., BBA and MBA Program. The guest speaker was Mr. Sri Harsha, MD – Shine Projects. The purpose of the webinar was to acquaint students with the functioning of stock market. Mr. Harsha shared the insights through his journey as an investor. He started with a case study discussion. He brings the essential nitty-gritties of the stock market among students. He talks about the basics of the market - Shares, IPOs, Face Value, Stock Exchange, Indices, Market Capitalization, Money Controlling App. He highlights the technological development took place in the stock market for accurate and fastest information sharing. He gave useful insights on the international stock markets – NYSE, Nasdaq, etc. The speaker also informed about the online courses available in the investment field. The question-answer round was held to clear the doubts of the students. At the end, a quiz was organized for active participation of students. The session was interactive, informative and useful for the students to understand about share market completely operates. The webinar was attended by 191 students.

Learning outcome: The webinar on Stock Markets provided an opportunity to the students to learn and understand the basics of the market. It helped them to gain a deep insight into the stock market functioning. Through the session, students learned about how to maintain the money flow in business through IPOs and stock exchanges.
