Introduction to Computers -characteristics, System unit (memory, ALU & control unit), Input / Output devices, Storage devices (Memory- primary & secondary). Computer Software: Introduction, Type (system, application & utility).  Computer Networks: Definition, components, network topology.

 Internet Induced Digital Transformation – Concept, Importance of digital transformation in  

  today’s business organisation, Exploring the Windows:  Windows Apps.

Introduction to Word Processing

Introduction to Word Processing: Word Basics, Shortcut keys - Word documents, Formatting text & documents, alignment, bullets and numbering, headers and footers, Foot notes, page border. Editing Text: Find & Replace, go to command, proofing text- Spell check & Check grammar using thesaurus, Insert & format pictures, Hyperlinks. Page setup:  page margins, orientation. Working with tables: Create, format, sort, table formula (Sum, Min, Max, Avg), converting text to table and vice versa. Create bookmarks, cross referencing, adding sources and bibliography. Mail Merge: Creating and editing the main document and data source sorting and filtering in merged documents. OLE (Object Linking and embedding).

Introduction to Spreadsheets

Introduction to workbook, worksheet Operations (save, open, move, copy, insert, delete, rename), Filling series, sort, formatting worksheet.

Various Tools & functions: cell referencing (Relative, Absolute, Mixed).  Basic /Inbuilt function (SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, MIN), date and time, copy & paste Special function, protecting worksheets. Logical Functions: IF, lookup, Consolidating function. Creating charts and graphics: Types of charts, create chart from adjacent data/ nonadjacent data, editing and formatting chart, printing worksheet & chart.

what-if analysis Functions: Introduction, goal-seek, solver, Filter, scenario manager. Analysis using pivot tables: Create, format and modify a pivot table and pivot charts.

Power point presentation

Introduction to power point Presentation design template, creating and managing different slides       -  creating graphs, tables, diagrams, organization charts, insert images. Viewing and navigating a presentation: outline view, slide sorter, master views, slide & title master, handout, notes master, hyperlinks, advanced navigation with action settings, action buttons.

Animation: animation schemes (custom animation, Text animation), understanding sound file formats and adding music, sound and video clips to presentation.

 Final presentation: Apply transition to slides, controlling transition speed, using hidden slides, custom shows, screen pen.

Introduction to Database Management

Introduction to database, create database table, fields in table with Data types, Field Properties changing table design, Primary Keys and field and record validation rules, working with multiple tables, Relationships & Integrity Rules, Join Properties, Sorting & Filtering.

Create Database queries: Creating Query by design & by wizard (Select, Make Table, Append, Delete,  Update), Creating multi table queries (create & working with table joins, using operators & expressions: Creating simple & advance criteria).

Working with forms: Creating forms by design & by wizard from database table and query.

Working with Reports: Creating database Reports, Header & Footer, Placing Controls on reports.
