Two day webinar on “Impact of COVID -19 Pandemic on Indian Economy”

Ensuring that education is not obstructed during the lockdown, Department of Management studies of IIS (deemed to be university) has organized A Two Day Webinar on “Impact of COVID -19 Pandemic on Indian Economy” on 23rd and 24th May 2020. 137 participants from different streams and region were brought into a digital system through a popular online platform i.e. Google Meet. The event started with a welcome note given by Dr Shweta Kastiya, Head, Department of Management studies, IIS (deemed to be University). Prominent Industrial experts and CA’s shared their views and screen with the participants. On the first day Mr. Dheeraj Shekhar, Principle Audit Manager, The city of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and Mr Chandra Shekhar, Proprietor, Financial Planning Hut, Jaipur, started the session and spoke on Issues and challenges faced by an Indian economy during this pandemic. Dr Ritika Moolchandani , Director, Ajmer FOREX Exchange, Ajmer, in the next session extended her views on the impact of COVID-19 on FOREX market. On the second day, Mr Mayur Joshi, Area Head, Motilal Oswal Financial services, Rajasthan, elaborated his views on unprecedented stock market impact of COVID-19. CA Alok Mehrotra, in the last session, highlighted the various financial areas on which an individual need to plan for and beyond COVID -19. Every session was wrapped with question and answers. Participants shared their wonderful experience through chat and feedback forms which was shared to them on their registered email address. The Organizing Secretaries of the webinar Dr. Neha Sarin and Dr Preeti Sharma presented their Vote of Thanks to the Vice Chancellor-Dr Ashok Gupta, Registrar- Dr Raakhi Gupta and Professor MK Sharma- Dean, Department of Commerce and Management.
