The Department of Management Studies conducted a seminar on the First Step towards Retail on 28th March, 2016. The seminar was organized for the BBA and MBA (Retail) students. The Speaker of the day was Mr. Shyam Singh Shekhawat, Store Manager, Reliance Trends, Jaipur. The programme started with the Welcoming of the Guest. The activity was coordinated by Dr. Chhavi Jain and Ms. Shivi Saxena. Mr. Shekhawat discussed the various domains of job profiles in the retail industry and how closely they are linked with our everyday life. He also discussed how women can take up a job in retail sector without hampering their family life. He conducted the seminar in a very interactive manner and showed various motivating videos and played a few management games with the students in order to motivate students to join the retail Industry. In the end, a vote of thanks was extended to Mr. Shekhawat for sparing his valuable time and sharing his rich Industrial experience with the students.
