Faculty of Commerce and Management organized a day long Seminar on "Emerging Trends and Challenges in Management" on 26th of February, 09. The Session was inaugurated by Keynote speaker Sh. Joginder Singh, Former Director, CBI.The inaugural session of the Seminar began with the lighting of the lamp after which Dr. Raakhi Gupta, Principal, International College for Girls, extended a warm welcome to the Resource Person and participants of the Seminar. The resource person Mr. Joginder Singh encouraged the young students to motivate themselves and work hard to achieve their goals & excel in every field of life. He made the students aware of challenges, opportunities and trends of management and related fields in terms of present changing scenario, economic slowdown and globalization. While stating the importance and traits of Time management, Sh. Joginder Singh emphasized that every minute saved is every minute gained, so decide your best time during the day when you are most productive and then manage doing most important things and work in that alert state. It will give you best dividends. He also advised the students to keep a diary and form a habit of writing down each and every work before the beginning of the day. Thus, make a road map for your activities and try to keep and activity lock which will further help you analyzing yourself that much time you utilized or wasted. To combat the corruption, Sh. Joginder Singh told the youngsters to be cautious and keep a watch on every suspected thing, people and activity. The seminar aimed at honing up the management skills of the students and acquainting them about the pitfalls & barriers in effective management. The lecture was followed by interaction with the students of Faculty of Commerce and Management. A round of question and answers about career prospects in the field of management, its trends and challenges, wrapped up the enlightening session.
