The Department of Management Studies conducted its Extension activity on 29th March, 2016 in which an awareness Programme was conducted for Housewives on Food Safety and Hygiene in Kitchen Households. The Lecture was organized for the female relatives and friends of BBA and MBA (Retail) students. The Speaker of the day was Mr. Sumit Saxena, Principal Consultant, Maven Quality Assurance Councel, Jaipur. Mr. Saxena startedhis lecture, wherein he discussed the various components of food and their relvence in our everyday life. Then, Mr. Saxena briefed the students about processing of various complex Food items used in the kitchen on a routine basis. He discussed, how labelling of processed foods should be checked in order to choose the best products available in the market and avoid various diseases caused by consuming wrong food items. He also discussed the various myths about kitchen cooking. In the end, a vote of thanks was extended to Mr. Saxena for sparing his valuable time and sharing his rich Industrial experience with the students and their relatives.
