Objective: 

The Objective of this course is to acquaint the students with the Production function, which is the primary function of an enterprise. The course aims at exposing the students to the various aspects & concepts of production & operations activities that are important for the smooth running of an enterprise, such as Work Design, Productivity, Quality Control etc.

Plant Location and Types of layout.

Production Planning & control: Meaning, Concept, MRP I and MRP II, Forecasting, Routing, Scheduling, Expediting, Aggregate planning and Master scheduling

Work study & work measurement: Concept, Work Design, Approaches-legal, ethical & environmental issues, Objectives, Method Study, Measuring Productivity & Ways of Improving Productivity.
