Environmental Analysis & Diagnosis: Analysis of company’s internal and external environmental and their impact on organizations policy and strategy, Porter’s 5 Forces model for Industry analysis ,SWOT analysis. Organization’s capabilities concept and Porter’s Value Chain Analysis,

Formulation of competitive strategies: Michael E. Porter’s generic competitive strategies, implementing competitive strategies- offensive & defensive moves, Core Competence concept.
Corporate Strategies: Introduction to strategies of growth, stability and retrenchment . Types of growth strategies – concentrated growth, cooperation, integration, diversification, international expansion, business and renewal strategies – retrenchment and turnaround.
